Which top-level domain (TLD) reigns supreme for Google's purposes: the established COM or the newer NET? I'm leaning towards NET since the domain I'm eyeing on COM is already taken, but available on NET. If I opt for NET, will there be a noticeable disparity or a hiccup?
I'm eager to get the lowdown, as I'm stumped and need a definitive answer.

For Google's purposes, neither COM nor NET reigns supreme, but COM is generally considered more authoritative and widely recognized. This is because COM was one of the original top-level domains (TLDs) introduced in 1985, while NET was introduced in 1988.

However, this doesn't mean NET is inferior. In fact, NET has its own set of advantages. For instance, NET is often associated with network-related services, making it a great choice for companies that operate in this space. Additionally, NET domains tend to be less crowded than COM domains, making it easier to find a available domain name.

That being said, if you opt for a NET domain, you might encounter some minor disparities. For example, some older browsers or caching systems might not recognize NET domains as readily as COM domains. However, this is unlikely to cause any significant issues.
While COM is generally more established, NET is a viable alternative. If you can't snag your desired COM domain, NET is a solid choice. Just be aware that some users might not immediately recognize the NET extension, but this shouldn't pose any major problems.

Google's algorithm is agnostic to TLDs (top-level domains) - be it.com,.net, or.io. From a user's perspective, the distinction between these domains is often irrelevant, as they're more likely to click on a link that's relevant to their query, regardless of the domain extension. In other words, the domain's 'SEO juice' (search engine optimization) is what matters most, not the TLD itself.

COM offers a significant SEO boost for sites focused on mortgage services. However, if your website is centered around academic writing, you'll want to prioritize NET to climb the ranks. Interestingly, NET tends to dominate search results for niche markets like online dating, gaming, and car sharing.

Conversely, COM is the go-to choice for e-commerce sites, particularly those in the pharmaceutical and аdult entertainment industries. When it comes to online real estate, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully.
