.Center Zone Domain: Terms of Use and Pitfalls

Hello, dear forum members.

I want to register a domain in the .center zone. I want to know if there are any pitfalls there? Are there any terms of use? For example, I wanted to register in the pro zone first, but I read that you need to provide dоcuments confirming your professional status, and there is no privacy. Is there anything similar in center? Unfortunately, there is little information on this matter.

And another question: which registrar is cheaper to order from?

Thank you.

The .center zone ain't your typical run-of-the-mill TLD. It's managed by CentralNic, a company that knows their stuff when it comes to domain names. Now, before you go ahead and register, you gotta understand that CentralNic has some rules in place to keep things fair and square.

No false or misleading info: You can't just make stuff up when you register a domain. Your contact details gotta be real and accurate. No fake names or addresses, capiche?
No cybersquatting: You can't register a domain with the intention of selling it back to the trademark owner at an inflated price. That's a big no-no, my friend.
No infringement: You can't register a domain that infringes on someone else's trademark or copyright. That's just asking for trouble.
No illegal activities: You can't use a .center domain for anything illegal or against the law. CentralNic reserves the right to suspend or cancel your domain if they find out you're up to no good.
Now, about that privacy thing you mentioned. .center domains don't have any special privacy rules that I know of. You'll get the same level of privacy as any other domain, which means your WHOIS info will be public unless you use a privacy protection service.

As for the professional status requirement you mentioned for other TLDs, I haven't heard of anything like that for .center. It seems to be open to anyone, as long as you follow the rules I mentioned earlier.

Now, let's talk about registrars. Prices can vary, so it's always a good idea to shop around. Here are a few registrars that offer .center domains:

Namecheap: These guys are known for their affordable prices and user-friendly interface. They often have promotions, so keep an eye out for those.
GoDaddy: They're one of the biggest registrars out there, with a wide range of services. Their prices can be a bit higher, but they've got a lot of experience in the game.
Google Domains: If you're already using Google's ecosystem, you might want to check them out. They've got competitive prices and seamless integration with Google services.
Before you make your decision, don't forget to check if the registrar offers any discounts for the first year of registration. Some registrars charge a higher price for the second year, so it's worth doing your homework.
The lowdown on .center domain registration. Just remember, it's always a good idea to read the terms and conditions before you register, so you know exactly what you're getting into.

No licenses, no diplomas, absolutely nothing. Just a mere $4 for registering a domain. It's almost too easy, really.

You can find domains that cost less, but I'd advise against it. Nowadays, there's a wide array to pick from, which might end up doubling your expenses. For instance, we had THEATER, then THEATRE came along... It's like a duplicate zone is emerging.
