Why .Esq Domains Can't Be Parked on GoDaddy and Afternic

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but because the new .Esq tld requires SSL, it cant be parked on GoDaddy, Afternic, or Dan with their for sale pages.
Does that sound right? Are there any way to park and list a newly registered .Esq domain without needing full hosting? GoDaddy and Afternic have confirmed so far that SSL is necessary and that they don't offer SSL for parking.

You're correct that platforms like GoDaddy, Afternic, and Dan don't offer SSL certificates for parking, so you can't just throw up a standard for-sale page like you would with a .com or another traditional TLD.

However, you're not entirely out of luck. There are a few workarounds that you might find useful:

Use a Service that Provides SSL: Some domain parking services do offer SSL, although they're not as common. UniRegistry is one that comes to mind. They might offer SSL for parked domains, but you'll want to double-check since not all services are the same when it comes to handling SSL for newer TLDs.

Cloudflare: You could use Cloudflare for this. They offer free SSL, and you can set up a basic redirect or even a simple landing page without needing full hosting. You would need to point your DNS to Cloudflare and use their flexible SSL option. This way, you can get a secure connection without having to deal with a full hosting setup. But remember, Cloudflare's free SSL isn't a true end-to-end SSL, so it might not be the best for all cases, but it's a good start.

SSL on a Cheap Hosting Plan: If you don't mind spending a tiny bit of money, you could get a very basic hosting plan that includes SSL. Many hosting providers offer plans for just a few bucks a month that include SSL certificates. You could then set up a simple landing page with a "For Sale" notice. This way, you'd have SSL and a place to park your domain without needing anything fancy.

Self-hosted SSL: If you're comfortable with some tech, you can set up your own SSL certificate using Let's Encrypt, which is free. You'd need a basic hosting environment or even a VPS for this, but it would give you the SSL you need without much cost. This route is a bit more hands-on, but it's definetly do-able if you're familiar with setting up servers.

Sell it Directly: Another option, if you really want to avoid hosting altogether, is to list the domain on a marketplace that handles the SSL for you. For example, you can still list the domain for sale on marketplaces like Sedo or even through your own website if you have one that's already SSL-enabled.

It's definetly a bit more complicated to park a .Esq domain because of the SSL requirement, but these options should give you a few avenues to explore. Each has its pros and cons, so it really depends on how much effort you want to put in and what your budget looks like.

I can confirm that the new.Esq top-level domain (TLD) indeed requires SSL encryption, which poses a challenge for parking and listing domains on platforms like GoDaddy, Afternic, and Dan without full hosting. Since these platforms don't offer SSL for parking, it's currently not possible to park and list a newly registered.Esq domain without hosting.

However, there are a few workarounds. You could consider using a third-party parking service that offers SSL, such as Sedo or Uniregistry, or utilize a hosting provider that offers free or low-cost SSL certificates, like Let's Encrypt, to host a simple "for sale" page.
