PacketFabric has been announced as a Technology Partner on the Google Cloud Marketplace, empowering businesses to connect multiple clouds in minutes and automate direct connectivity between private cloud colocation and cloud providers.

The platform offers a self-service Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform built on a private, carrier-grade global optical network, enabling companies to build, manage, and deploy full multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and custom network connectivity solutions just like any other cloud resource.

With PacketFabric Cloud Router, businesses can quickly connect one cloud to another for data migration, transforming their digital operations. Private and secure connectivity between cloud providers is ensured by the Layer 2 and Layer 3 connection offered by the PacketFabric Cloud Router. The Cloud Router uses the PacketFabric network infrastructure to carry data along the optimal route, resulting in optimized, low latency service and highly efficient cloud-to-cloud data transfers.

Users do not require on-premises equipment in a colocation facility since the Cloud Routers do not need a physical interface or cross-connect into the PacketFabric platform. Enterprise users have complete visibility into traffic data and are able to manage traffic between several cloud providers as well as across various regions on the same cloud provider.

Here are some key features of PacketFabric's Cloud Router:

1. Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) Platform: The Cloud Router is built on PacketFabric's private, carrier-grade global optical network, providing a self-service NaaS platform for businesses to build, manage, and deploy multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and custom network connectivity solutions.

2. Seamless Cloud-to-Cloud Connectivity: The Cloud Router allows businesses to quickly and easily connect one cloud provider to another for data migration, enhancing their digital operations. It eliminates the need for complex and time-consuming manual configurations by automating the process.

3. Layer 2 and Layer 3 Connection: PacketFabric's Cloud Router offers both Layer 2 and Layer 3 connections, ensuring private and secure connectivity between cloud providers. This allows for optimized, low-latency service and efficient cloud-to-cloud data transfers.

4. Optimized Routing: The Cloud Router leverages PacketFabric's network infrastructure to carry data along the optimal route, resulting in enhanced performance and faster data transfers. This helps businesses achieve better overall efficiency in their cloud operations.

5. Traffic Management and Visibility: Enterprise users have complete visibility into traffic data and can effectively manage traffic between multiple cloud providers and across different regions within the same provider. This gives businesses greater control over their network and allows them to optimize their cloud resources.

Overall, PacketFabric's Cloud Router on the Google Cloud Marketplace provides businesses with a streamlined and efficient solution for establishing direct connectivity between cloud providers, enabling them to enhance their cloud operations and achieve their desired multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecture.

What's the point of having a Cloud Router if it's just going to add another layer of complexity to an already convoluted cloud ecosystem?
I've seen businesses struggle to manage their cloud infrastructure, and PacketFabric's solution just seems like another Band-Aid on a bullet wound. We need to rethink the way we approach cloud connectivity, not just slap on another solution that's going to create more problems down the line.
