Google has made changes to the logo of its mobile operating system.



The letter A in the word Android now starts with a capital letter, and the head of the green robot has been transformed into a three-dimensional image. Additionally, the Android font has been altered, with the letters n and r now having a more pronounced rounded shape. This particular font design was previously used from 2014 to 2019.

The introduction of Google's three-dimensional robot head took place at CES 2023 and was later showcased at Google I/O 2023. The updated mascot was then presented alongside the word android, which retained its lowercase first letter as per the old design.

In a statement, the company confirmed the unveiling of their "new brand identity" and assured users that further details will be disclosed in due course.

"We have already showcased certain aspects of our revamped corporate identity at various events, including our participation at CES earlier this year, and through other promotional materials such as advertisements. We have exciting developments to share in the upcoming months."

It is expected that the new design will make its appearance on the loading screen of all Android devices. According to reports from 9to5Google, this change will coincide with the launch of Android 14 towards the end of this year.
