How hard is it to create and promote your own website?

Is it possible to make my dream of creating and promoting a website a reality? This is a question from someone who is not well-versed in AI but has a dream associated with it. For a long time now, I have been planning to create my own website for questions and answers, with a unique twist - anyone who asks a question must pay, and the best answer will receive all the money.

Initially, I believed that creating the website was easy - all I had to do was save enough money to hire someone to build it and then use the rest of the funds for advertising, so the right audience would visit the site. My plan was to accumulate 400,000 dollars and then put everything into motion.

However, after watching a YouTube channel for novice programmers and hearing a reference to my plans, I began to rethink everything. Apparently, maintaining such a site requires a team of developers on a salary, which I cannot afford. Is it still realistic for me to achieve this dream? Perhaps I was wrong in assuming that advertising would be my main expense.

So, if I want to pursue this dream, should I learn programming myself and create and maintain the website alone? Can I realistically turn my vision into a success?

No one explained why the idea failed, but I agree with that.

There are various resources available for different topics such as Google and social media networks like google, Life hackers, thematic portals, and many blogs. Also there are niche players on various platforms like Stackoverflow/Toster/Forums for programming-related questions, legal topics, and sections of questions on agency websites. City sites like "Square" by 2GIS were a recent addition but it was soon closed down. There are paid sites with freelance exchanges, platforms with tutors, Avito, and individual blogs with consulting services.

Pros are everywhere, but those who are not interested will not be with you either. Why pay for something when it can be obtained for free? However, worthwhile players do not hesitate to connect with the same model and you can fly.

Your budget can be both large and microscopic depending on your business idea. For someone who can start with 2-3 times less money, their budget could be considered large and for those who know how to recapture such money and where to invest it, it is a small budget. It is important to learn about programming and algorithms even if you don't study the language, especially if you want to implement ideas and earn money through management.

It is easy to launch a project but making money on the idea is challenging. With an abundance of tools available today, launching a project and making money on it are two different things. This site has a simple monetization model and earns from advertisements, which is not too easy.

The notion that anything is possible is a truly inspiring one. However, a website solely dedicated to paid questions is unlikely to succeed. In business, it's common to offer users low-quality content for free and high-quality content for payment. By implementing a payment system for answering questions, there's an incentive for experts to provide top-notch responses and earn money in the process. That being said, it's not advisable to focus solely on paid questions. Instead, start small with a simple question-and-answer website that offers free hosting and utilizes a CMS such as Q2A. While investing in unique design is recommended, traffic can be garnered from social media platforms. It's important to engage users and build a following through daily posts featuring intriguing questions.

Rewarding users for providing the best answers is another way to foster engagement. The idea has potential — just take it one step at a time. As an aside, I too once attempted to create a question-and-answer website. Although I designed a homepage, I ultimately never launched it.

While the idea is good, I believe it comes with risk. From my perspective, it's important to consider the psychology of people before implementing it. Additionally, one must answer the question: why pay for what's already free, like Google, Yandex, StackOverflow, Toster, Answers.Mail.<url>, and various specialized forums?

That being said, creating a service for paid advice would be a different story altogether. There was once such a service called Video-People, which offered psychological and legal support for a fee. However, it closed down and was replaced by something else entirely. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I'd still be interested in seeing such a project come to fruition.

Of course, building a site like this requires knowledge in several areas, including HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL (MySQL), js + jquery, and some sort of framework like Laravel or Bootstrap.

The difficulty of creating and promoting your own website depends on a number of factors, including your technical skills, your budget, and the type of website you want to create.

If you have basic technical skills, you can create a website using a content management system (CMS) like WordPress or Wix. These platforms make it easy to create a website without any c

It's great to hear that you have a dream of creating and promoting your own website! While I can't provide financial or career advice, I can offer some general insight.

Creating and promoting a website is certainly possible, but it can require various skills and resources. Learning programming yourself can be a viable option, given the availability of online learning resources and communities. This would allow you to create and maintain the website on your own, minimizing expenses associated with developers.

However, it's important to recognize that building a successful website involves more than just technical skills. It also requires content creation, marketing, user engagement, and potentially monetization strategies. Consider researching and learning about these aspects of website development to increase your chances of success.

Regarding your unique twist of charging users to ask questions and rewarding the best answer, it's an interesting concept. However, it's worth considering how this model might affect user engagement and the overall appeal of your site. Conducting market research, analyzing similar platforms, and considering feedback from potential users can help you make informed decisions.

Remember, pursuing any dream can come with challenges, but with dedication, perseverance, and continuous learning, it's possible to turn your vision into a success. Good luck!
