Despite having a fully configured Smtp server and an IP address that's not blacklisted, my emails are still landing in the spam folder on Gmail.
The hosting tech support has been of little help and advised me to contact Google tech support, but I'm not holding my breath for a response anytime soon.

Check the reputation of your IP address by visiting https://www.senderscore.org / and https://www.senderbase.org / as there may be undetected emails coming from your IP address.

To identify the cause, try changing different elements one by one such as the email content, from-email, from-name, from-domain and so on. By scientifically testing each element, we can isolate the factor that affects deliverability.

It's also recommended to test on a new Gmail account with no interaction history to ensure that it's not a personal filter causing the emails to be sent to spam.

To avoid simply complaining about Google's inadequacy, one should provide a sample letter.

I recall suffering for four days with a free mailer (complete with its own quirks) only to discover that the letters people were sending out were along the lines of "visit our webpage and become an instant millionaire".

To ensure that emails are not marked as spam, one needs to consider several factors, such as the reverse DNS zone for the mailer, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, along with the header "Precedence: bulk" (if it is a mailing list) and the content of the letters. A high percentage of readership must also be achieved if it is a newsletter. By following these guidelines, one should experience better results.

As for my own thoughts on this matter, I believe that email communication is still an incredibly valuable tool in our digital world, despite the challenges presented by spam filters and other obstacles. It's important to take the time to craft thoughtful and engaging messages that will resonate with our intended audience, rather than relying on quick fixes that may ultimately do more harm than good.

Many valid points were made earlier, such as the desire to view the correspondence.

It would also be beneficial to confirm that a tracking pixel is not being utilized.

Moreover, it's advisable to verify if the site's IP has been blacklisted, rather than solely focusing on the mail server.

Overall, it's crucial to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and privacy of online communication.

Landing in the spam folder often depends on several factors beyond server configuration and IP reputation. It can be influenced by various email content and sending practices that may trigger Gmail's spam filters. While waiting for a response from Google tech support, here are some general recommendations you can consider to improve email deliverability:

1. Verify DNS settings: Ensure your domain's DNS records (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC) are correctly configured to authenticate your email.

2. Follow best practices: Stick to best practices for email sending, such as sending emails only to recipients who have opted in, avoiding spammy language, and personalizing messages.

3. Monitor bounce rates: High bounce rates can negatively impact deliverability. Regularly monitor and clean your email lists to remove invalid or inactive addresses.

4. Avoid large attachments: Large attachments can trigger spam filters. If necessary, use cloud storage services and share download links instead.

5. Check email content: Review your email content for any suspicious or spam-like elements. Be cautious with overly promotional language, excessive use of capitalization or exclamation marks, and misleading subject lines.

6. Build sender reputation: Gradually increase email volume to established contacts, ensuring a consistent sending pattern, and maintaining a low complaint rate. A good reputation can help your emails land in the inbox.

7. Test and monitor: Continually test your emails, both for content and deliverability, by sending them to different email providers and monitoring where they land. Adjust your approach based on the results.

additional steps you can take to increase your chances of avoiding the spam folder:

1. Build a positive sender reputation: Establishing a good sender reputation takes time and consistent sending practices. Monitor email bounce rates, unsubscribe requests, and spam complaints to ensure they stay low.

2. Consider email engagement: Engagement metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and replies can impact deliverability. Focus on crafting engaging subject lines and relevant content to encourage recipients to interact with your emails.

3. Authenticate your domain: Ensure that your domain is properly authenticated with Sender Policy Framework (SPF), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) records. This helps verify your identity and improves deliverability.

4. Segment your email lists: Sending targeted emails to specific segments of your list can improve relevance and engagement. Focus on providing value to each segment based on their interests or preferences.

5. Use a reputable email service provider (ESP): Working with a trusted ESP can help improve deliverability, as they often have relationships with major email providers and actively monitor and manage IP reputations.

6. Monitor and respond to feedback loops: Sign up for feedback loops offered by email providers like Gmail. These loops provide you with information about recipients who mark your emails as spam, allowing you to take action promptly.

7. Leverage email whitelist services: Consider using reputable email whitelist services, which can help improve deliverability by ensuring your emails bypass certain spam filters.
