Hello everyone,

As a front-end programmer, I recently found myself needing to create a website for my small business. Initially, I considered keeping things simple and not using CMS, as I had limited experience with it and usually worked with layouts handled by a PHP wizard.

However, I've now realized that the website needs to be effectively optimized for SEO in order to rank well. I plan to use Yandex Direct, AdSense, directory punching, semantic layout, and clean code to improve SEO. My question is whether it would be beneficial to switch to WordPress for better SEO results or if it would be easier to stick with HTML.

What are your thoughts on this?

Switching to WordPress for better SEO results can be beneficial for several reasons. WordPress offers a range of SEO-friendly features and plugins, which can help you optimize your website for search engines. These features include customizable permalinks, meta descriptions, title tags, image optimization, mobile responsiveness, and more. Additionally, WordPress websites are known for their clean and semantic code, which can further improve SEO performance.

Using WordPress can also make it easier for you to update and manage your website content, which is important for SEO. With its user-friendly interface and content management system, you can easily create and publish new content, optimize meta tags, and make other SEO improvements without extensive coding knowledge.

However, if you are confident in your ability to create clean and optimized HTML code, and you prefer to have more control over the website's design and functionality, sticking with HTML may be a viable option. You can still implement SEO best practices, such as semantic layout and clean code, to improve your website's search engine performance.
Consider evaluating the trade-offs in terms of SEO capabilities, ease of use, and flexibility to make an informed decision.

Switching to WordPress could potentially offer several SEO benefits compared to an HTML-based website. WordPress is known for its SEO-friendly features, such as customizable permalinks, easy content management, and a wide range of SEO plugins that can help optimize various aspects of your site. Additionally, WordPress sites are often easier to update and maintain, which can contribute to better SEO performance over time.

However, sticking with HTML also has its advantages. HTML websites tend to load faster and can be more lightweight compared to WordPress sites, which can be beneficial for SEO. Additionally, if you're already familiar with HTML and have a well-optimized site, transitioning to WordPress may not be necessary.

Ultimately, the decision to switch to WordPress should be based on your specific needs and goals. If you're looking for a more user-friendly platform with robust SEO capabilities and don't mind the learning curve associated with WordPress, it could be a worthwhile investment. However, if you're comfortable with HTML and your current site is performing well, you may not need to make the switch.

The text emphasizes the importance of various factors for SEO, including titles, descriptions, keywords (which are less important nowadays), meta tags, site loading time, user-friendly content, link structure, behavioral factors, and direct links from popular resources. It also mentions the role of content management systems (CMS) in managing website content and their impact on site performance. The author emphasizes the primary goal of any web system to be the generation of HTML.

I often consider these SEO factors when creating and maintaining websites. It's important to balance functionality and speed with SEO optimization to ensure a positive user experience.

Wordpress is often recommended for improving SEO, especially if you regularly publish new content.
Is cataloging still a relevant practice? - It's more likely to have a negative impact.
One alternative is to opt for a simple CMS.
Another option is to create one or more "landing pages" using html.
I believe that the decision largely depends on how frequently you plan to update or add content - if it's a frequent occurrence, then Wordpress is definitely more convenient.

I suggest securing a domain and hosting without delay, and launching at least one page. The longevity of the site is also a factor to consider, or you can purchase a domain from the secondary market with a history, although this process is as swift as catalogs and charlatans.

Increasing your small business's online visibility requires SEO optimization. The first step should be to conduct keyword research so that you can target relevant terms, speed up the site, and ensure that it is mobile-friendly. Provide valuable, engaging content that answers your audience's questions. Meta tags and images should be optimized. In this manner, you can enhance your search engine rankings and attract more customers to your business.
