How I Promoted My Online Application Website

I run a website that offers online applications. I have taken necessary steps to promote my website such as adding it to Yandex and creating a sitemap using a plugin. Additionally, I created thematic groups on OK and VK where I share newly created programs with links to my website. I invite 100-150 people every day from similar groups and make reposts in some of them. I also added a link to the site in a couple of catalogs and sometimes include it in my answers on <url>.

To further promote my website, I created an account on Picaboo and also tried to advertise it there, although I'm not sure if it's worth my time. I even wrote an article with a link to my website, but it didn't generate much traffic. In order to expand the site, I added a useful blog with notes about PC-related topics.

Despite these efforts, I have only been able to attract a maximum of 10-13 visitors per month. This made me realize that I need to approach promotion more professionally, but I lack the experience and knowledge to do so. There are plenty of articles available on the internet, but it's hard to determine which ones to trust.

 Thus, my question is: what are the most effective ways of website promotion? What do I need to learn and how long will it take to see results? In other words, where should I begin and how should I proceed?
