Unless you have a distinctive offering, it's not worth spending your time. Even major players are targeting their partners by providing unique services like fully managed hosting and software development.
It would be best if you had a significant amount of additional cash as there is no longer any revenue in only selling hosting and domains. Moreover, you must compete with Wix and Squarespace.

My advice to you is not to prioritize hosting as your primary product/unique selling proposition. Competing on price with bigger companies is futile, and hosting has become so commonplace that standing out is difficult. If you have other skills or services like web design, SEO, social media marketing, you can acquire a few clients and then offer hosting as an additional service.

The initial clients are always the hardest to get, but once you have a few, word of mouth will help. Remember that it's easier to sell "more" of something to existing customers than acquiring new ones, so work on the upsells. Unless you have a niche offering, paid advertising is likely to be a waste of money, and targeting a smaller audience can make your ads more effective.

At the beginning of my venture, I planned on buying reseller hosting and running ads. However, I soon realized that this method was ineffective since I couldn't compete with others' pricing. Despite having a competitive advantage in terms of pricing, there was always someone cheaper or even free. Consequently, I found myself unable to raise my prices without losing my primary advertising offering and couldn't lower them any further.

As a result, I kept bleeding money on ad spend. It took me three years to become cash flow positive, but I had to shift my approach. Instead of advertising, I started networking by attending small business meetups and collaborating with non-profit organizations. I connected with the local small business community and offered similar pricing to their current web hosting providers, but with a direct and local representative who had delegated access to their hosting plans.

Additionally, I combined this with web design and local SEO services to provide a value-added package, impressing them with greater service and better pricing. Many of my clients were moving away from GoDaddy, so it wasn't difficult to persuade them.
