Hey there, I've just finished building an e-commerce website completely from scratch without using any frameworks or CMS. Now I'm looking to boost its visibility on search engines, but I'm struggling to find an SEO specialist willing to take on the project.

One of them mentioned the following: 'The site seems to have been built on an outdated platform, possibly using an old WordPress template. It does not comply with the latest SEO regulations and lacks proper coding for search engine optimization. You'll need to optimize the site to reduce loading times, ensure it's fully responsive, and revise the navigation structure for SEO purposes.'

So, my question is, apart from the optimization and adaptation, what other changes should I make to the site for SEO purposes?
I'd greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on this matter. Thank you in advance, I'm in need of some expert assistance.

Optimizing on-page elements such as meta titles, descriptions, and headings is crucial. Each page should have a unique and descriptive title tag that includes relevant keywords related to the content on the page. Similarly, meta descriptions should be compelling and should accurately describe the page's content to encourage click-throughs from search engine results pages.

Secondly, ensuring that the site's URL structure is clean and user-friendly can have a positive impact on SEO. URLs should be descriptive and include relevant keywords, while avoiding any unnecessary parameters or session IDs. Implementing breadcrumbs on the site can also help search engines understand the site's structure and improve user experience.

From a design perspective, incorporating schema markup can also enhance the site's visibility in search results. Schema markup helps search engines understand the context of the content on the site, which can result in rich snippets being displayed in search results, improving click-through rates.

Furthermore, creating high-quality, original content is essential for SEO. The content should be well-written, relevant to the target audience, and incorporate relevant keywords naturally. It's also important to regularly update the site with fresh content to demonstrate to search engines that the site is active and authoritative in its niche.

Additionally, improving site speed and performance is critical for SEO. This can be achieved through minifying and combining CSS and JavaScript files, optimizing images, leveraging browser caching, and utilizing content delivery networks (CDNs) to ensure fast load times across different geographic locations.

Incorporating a responsive design is also crucial, as search engines prioritize mobile-friendly sites. Ensuring that the site displays and functions well across various devices and screen sizes is essential for both user experience and SEO performance.

Lastly, building a strong backlink profile through high-quality, relevant inbound links can significantly impact the site's SEO. Developing a link building strategy that focuses on obtaining links from reputable and authoritative sites within the industry can improve the site's search engine rankings.

The website looks like it was put together haphazardly, which is why they're rejecting it.
Here's what needs to be addressed:
The most crucial aspect is adaptability. In 2024, adaptability is essential. Without it, Google and Yandex will penalize your website.
The website's layout seems to have been attempted using BEM, but it's not quite there. Make sure everything is in order when you work on making it adaptable.
The most reliable solution would be to revamp the website, using a pre-made engine based on the volume of orders (such as WordPress or OpenCart). Why? It comes with built-in SEO, already containing good code which won't require extensive digging. Avoiding the need for knocking SEOs.
Currently, it seems like the developers are reluctant to engage with your project, possibly finding more profitable opportunities elsewhere.

Every website has the potential to reach the top spot through careful structuring, strategic keyword selection, error elimination, and precise page content optimization. However, crafting these elements from scratch can consume a significant amount of time...

1. Implement Pretty URLs (Pages should be generated using parameters, not scripts)
2. Eliminate relative paths
3. Ensure bread crumbs are presented in a single line
4. Immediately reveal filters in the product catalog
5. Consider redesigning, drawing inspiration from both domestic and Western projects
6. Omit displaying prices in rubles for out-of-stock products
7. Familiarize yourself with AJAX - the addition of items to the cart should be clearly indicated
8. Reduce the size of product cards, especially in the shopping cart
9. Refine the logic and code structures
10. Integrate SEO fields into the admin panel for each page and product
