In the past, I attempted to use PIAF, but I found that I was not fond of its update scripts. The system has been functioning for quite a while, and truthfully, I am unsure about what exactly it does. It often feels like I am installing more than what is necessary.

The installation process for the FreePBX distribution is both swift and straightforward. Following the installation, I simply add the desired extension. Updating the system is just as easy, either via the web interface or by using yum, and I haven't encountered any issues so far.

Although I did try Asterisk Now at some point, I cannot recall the specific reason why I ultimately decided not to continue using it.

On a personal note, I find that having a reliable and user-friendly PBX solution significantly enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of communication systems. It is crucial to select a solution that aligns well with your specific needs and preferences.
