I'm choosing a VPS for a small API service that will be built with FastAPI and PostgreSQL. Traffic won't be huge initially, but I expect the number of requests to grow over time.

Hostpro.com caught my attention because their VPS plans use KVM virtualization and provide root access. I'd prefer having full control over the environment rather than being limited by a managed platform.

Would 2 vCPUs and 4 GB RAM be enough for a starting configuration, or would you go with 4 vCPUs and 8 GB to leave some room for growth?
