Can anyone recommend a reliable virtual host management system for Linux that is compatible with Apache, MySQL, PHP, and phpMyAdmin?

It would be ideal if the system is free and allows for user-managed site administration, similar to ISPConfig.
Unfortunately, ISPConfig has not met my expectations since it requires excessive effort to operate.

I found ISPmanager to have a pleasing interface and an extensive range of features that met all of my needs, which is rare. I had previously tried using both Webmin and ispCP Omega, but they simply couldn't compare. Although I briefly used cPanel at one point, I cannot offer any comparisons as it was a long time ago.

At isplicense, I was able to purchase ISPmanager at an affordable price and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their support. In fact, I no longer even need to manage the system myself as the admin team takes care of everything from setup to updates. When I initially bought the license, there was only one level of support available, but now there are two options. Since I paid around $60-70 for the license with support, I assume it was the lower level of support.

When comparing ispCP Omega to ISPConfig, I found that the former was simpler and had a few more tools for managing the host machine. Despite not being as well-developed, ispCP Omega has an outwardly pleasant and intuitive interface that makes it easy to use.

After trying out DirectAdmin, cPanel, and ispManager, I encountered frequent glitches with the latter option. While cPanel offered most of the features I needed, its weightiness made it less than ideal. On the other hand, DirectAdmin proved to be an affordable choice, costing only $5 per license per month if you conduct a thorough search.

As previously mentioned, Webmin is a solid choice among free virtual host management systems. However, I highly recommend ISPmanager due to its reliable performance and lack of bugs. Although it is not free, I was able to purchase the ISPmanager Lite version from a partner for only ~$12, and have been completely satisfied with its functionality.

For those new to virtual host management, ISPManager is an excellent choice due to its user-friendly interface and a wealth of resources like a knowledge library and instructional videos. Additionally, the ISPManager interface can be translated into Russian, making it an especially attractive option for non-English speakers. With support for an unlimited number of sites and users, data security is not a concern as necessary access levels can easily be configured. Tasks can be automated via PO's Cron feature, simplifying management further.

Plesk is another panel with a user-friendly interface that offers three access levels and supports both Apache and Nginx. Compared to ISPManager, Plesk boasts a more extensive feature set, particularly in regards to FTP access.

cPanel, while feature-rich, has a complicated interface and requires downloading additional components during installation. Ayenti, which lacks Russian localization, works best with Nginx but supports Apache with limited functionality. Direct Admin offers easy setup and backup customization, making it suitable for managing large domains.

When selecting a hosting control panel, ease of management and compatibility with the necessary web server are critical considerations.
