Setting up DNS Servers

I purchased a domain from comfoplace.com and hosting from ho.ua. However, neither of them provide NS (name server) servers, which has put me in an interesting situation. I have the domain and hosting, but I can't seem to connect them. Now, I have two options: either pay for another hosting service out of my own pocket (without any prior experience with this hoster) or find a solution.

Does anyone know how to link them using free NS servers? I've tried configuring them on xname.org, primaryns.kiev.ua, and secondary.net.ua, but the domain is still unavailable (the NS server is registered with the registrar).

So, which service should I use and what information should I enter?

First, make sure you have the correct name server (NS) information provided by your hosting provider. Typically, they will give you the NS server names, such as ns1.example.com and ns2.example.com.

Once you have this information, log in to your domain registrar account (where you purchased the domain) and locate the domain management settings. Look for an option to update the name servers or DNS settings for your domain.

Enter the NS server names provided by your hosting provider into the appropriate fields. Save the changes, and it may take some time for the changes to propagate across the internet. This process is known as DNS propagation, and it can take up to 24-48 hours.

If you have already tried configuring the NS servers on xname.org, primaryns.kiev.ua, and secondary.net.ua, but the domain is still unavailable, you may want to reach out to the customer support of your domain registrar for further assistance. They should be able to help you troubleshoot the issue or provide alternative solutions.

Remember that free NS servers may not always provide the same level of reliability or support as paid hosting services. If you are unable to find a satisfactory solution using free options, you might consider exploring other hosting providers that offer name server services.

Setting up DNS servers involves configuring the name servers for your domain to point to the correct IP addresses of your hosting provider's DNS servers. Here's a general step-by-step guide:

1. Obtain the DNS server information from your hosting provider. They should provide you with the names and IP addresses of their DNS servers.

2. Log in to your domain registrar account (where you purchased the domain) and locate the domain management settings.

3. Look for an option to update the DNS or name servers for your domain. It may be called "DNS Management," "Nameservers," or something similar.

4. Enter the DNS server names (e.g., ns1.example.com, ns2.example.com) or IP addresses provided by your hosting provider into the appropriate fields. If you have multiple DNS servers, you'll typically have multiple fields to enter them.

5. Save the changes and allow time for DNS propagation. It can take up to 24-48 hours for the changes to propagate across the internet, though often it happens much faster.

During this process, it's important to ensure that the DNS servers you specify are correctly configured by your hosting provider. Mistakes in entering the server names or IP addresses can lead to issues.

I have never utilized the ns servers of the hosting provider. Xname.org and ypdns are options available, and there have been other free ns-s links discussed recently.

You mentioned that you placed and registered the xname ns server on xname.org but encountered issues. Are you aware that it takes time for everything to function properly? This is because the NS servers, including your provider, need to be updated. Based on experience, this typically takes anywhere from several hours to three days, with an average of one day.

Feel free to reach out to my personal account, and I will assist you in configuring everything.

Consider purchasing a different hosting service as the current one seems to be providing irrelevant and unnecessary features (indicating a strong inclination towards greediness).
At the same cost, you can easily find another hosting provider who will offer you proper NS1 and NS2, allowing you to register them with your domain registrar and ensuring a smooth experience. Please specify your hosting requirements, including desired features and budgetary constraints.
