I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I currently have $1/month virtual hosting. My website receives around 800 visitors per day and I want to ensure that it loads quickly and reliably. I'm considering upgrading to a hosting plan that costs $9/month, with at least 55GB of space and 3000GB of traffic to accommodate up to 2k visitors daily. Additionally, I'm curious about the processor and memory parameters and their benefits, as well as the different types of panels available like "Lite" or others. Would you be able to enlighten me on these topics?

Also, if possible, can you recommend any hosting providers that are resistant to abuse since my website has a game theme and is susceptible to crаcks and other security risks? Thank you in advance for your help!

I want to caution all webmasters out there to never choose Gino hosting under any circumstances. I made the mistake of using their services and I strongly advise against it. At first glance, everything seems fine - cheap prices, $1 second-level domains, and responsive technical support with a simple and user-friendly interface.

However, they use a cunning and insidious tactic. I stayed with them for over a year while developing WordPress websites but decided to create two entertainment sites for gaming and videos. As my site traffic grew, the hosting administration began to load my resources in a special way, causing my website to be inaccessible later in the evening. This had a negative impact on search engine rankings and ultimately ruined all my hard work.

Despite my efforts to resolve the issue through tech support, I found them unhelpful and dismissive. This experience has taught me to warn other webmasters against using Gino hosting. Don't let your hard work go to waste - choose a different hosting provider. Good luck with your endeavors!

If you find that minimal DigitalOcean is insufficient for your needs, consider upgrading your virtual machine and pob or explore modular hosting options like Openshift or Heroku. With DO, 2 cores start at $20 per month, but if you're running everything on just 1 core and 1GB, it may not be enough to handle even 300 users per day. This would mean that you'll have at least 5 users every minute, which could negatively impact their experience.

On a related note, look into Google Cloud Platform since they offer an API to "Googlodox" and a $300 credit for the first 4 months of service. This could be a more viable option for those seeking a scalable and reliable hosting solution.

When considering an upgrade, it's crucial to assess your specific needs to make an informed decision. With around 800 visitors per day and the potential for growth, it's wise to consider a hosting plan with at least 55GB of space and 3000GB of traffic to ensure your website can handle the influx of visitors without compromising on speed or reliability.
Now, let's delve into the technical aspects. The processor and memory parameters play a critical role in the performance of your website. A faster processor and ample memory (RAM) are essential for handling concurrent user requests, database queries, and dynamic content generation. Look for hosting plans that offer multi-core processors (such as Intel Xeon or AMD Ryzen CPUs) and a sufficient amount of RAM to support the smooth operation of your website.

As for control panels, the choice between "Lite" or other options like cPanel, Plesk, or custom-built panels depends on your familiarity and specific needs. Each panel offers its own set of features for website management, email configuration, file handling, and more. Consider your level of expertise and the tools required for efficient website administration when making this decision.

Security is a top priority, especially for a website with a game theme that may be vulnerable to security threats. When selecting a hosting provider, prioritize those with robust security measures such as DDoS protection, SSL certificates, firewall protection, regular malware scanning, and proactive security updates. Look for providers with a track record of effectively mitigating security risks and swiftly responding to any potential breaches.
Considering your concerns about abuse resistance, reputable hosting providers known for their strong security measures include SiteGround, A2 Hosting, and DreamHost. These companies offer a range of hosting plans tailored to different website requirements, with a focus on security, reliability, and performance.
