Domain Registration and Redirect

Greetings, fellow netizens! This fine day, I have officially signed up with the internetbs registrar and successfully procured registration for three distinct domains. At this juncture, I am inclined to redirect said domains to an alternate, namely a fourth domain.

Internetbs graciously presents me with a selection of three redirect options. My paramount concern is to ensure the avoidance of these domains being ensnared within the clutches of search engine filters. Your esteemed assistance in resolving this matter is most ardently sought (kindly refrain from proposing solutions involving the acquisition of hosting services).

The methods of redirection are as follows:

1) Redirection

2) Hidden (with a frame)

3) 301 redirects

I completely understand your concern about avoiding search engine filters. For this purpose, I recommend using the 301 redirect method. It's a standard way to tell search engines and visitors that a web page has moved permanently to a new location. This will preserve the SEO value of the original domains and transfer it to the new one, thereby preventing any potential clutches of search engine filters.

I would advise against using the "Hidden (with a frame)" option as it may not be search engine friendly and could lead to indexing issues. The simple "Redirection" method might not be as effective in terms of SEO preservation compared to the 301 redirect.

By implementing the 301 redirects for your domains, you can ensure a smooth transition to the new domain while preserving search engine rankings and user experience.

I would strongly discourage the use of redirects for your websites. Instead, I recommend creating separate pages for each domain to enhance the user experience. If you must use a redirect, consider implementing a deferred JavaScript redirect for a smoother transition.

Have you thought about the practicality of expecting users to visit all three of your domains? Perhaps it's time to reconsider the significance of maintaining all these domains, particularly those with minimal traffic. Quality should take precedence over quantity in your domain management strategy.

I'd say that for your needs, a temporary redirect from the main page would be appropriate (you could even consider using internal redirects as well). It is important to avoid redirection from internal pages to low-quality Internet pages (I prefer not to check it myself, as free redirects often exhibit similar behavior). Should you still choose to place parking pages on domains, or even full-fledged landing pages, please get in touch with us. Alternatively, you might find a hosting provider that allows you to do this.

Temporary redirection is not named as such because it is short-lived, but rather because it is intended to be temporary. In some cases, it may also make sense to use 301 redirects, especially when the domains are "paired", sold together, and one of them is clearly the primary domain while the other (or others) serve as supplementary. For instance:

- jobcomm – the primary domain with a parking page;
- jobcom – a 301 redirect with path inheritance to the primary domain.
