Verisign has recently given notice of a price increase for .com domain name registrations.



 This increase follows an amendment to the .COM Registry Agreement in 2020, allowing for a maximum 7% increase in price over the final four years of each six-year period. Effective from September 1, 2023, the fees for various registration services are as follows:

- Initial registration of a .com domain name: $9.59 per annual increment
- Renewal of a .com domain name: $9.59 per annual increment
- Transfer of a .com domain name to a different Registrar: $9.59 per domain name
- Restoration of a Domain-Name using the EPP Update command: $40.00
- Supported Protocol Sync command: $2.00, plus $1.00 per month of the sync.
