Title: Domain Investment Community Reunites in South Florida After Pandemic Hiatus
Post by: Domaining News on Jun 07, 2023, 02:12 AM
For the past two decades, the domain investment community has relied on in-person meetings to build relationships that support their industry. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic caused a disruption in these gatherings until last fall when NamesCon Global resumed live events in Austin with great fanfare.

Since then, NamesCon has moved to spring dates and will be holding their 2023 show next week in Texas. Many attendees are arriving at the big show after helping to revive the local domain meetup scene in South Florida the night before, May 25th.

South Florida has been home to a large community of professional domain investors since the industry's inception. South Florida-based Rick Schwartz and Howard Neu were responsible for staging the very first T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conferences from 2004 to 2014. As a result, South Florida has been one of the few regions that have been able to support their own local meetups over the years, along with Seattle and Los Angeles. Eddie Sixto, a veteran of the industry, stepped up to help reconstitute the Florida group known as South Florida Domainers aided by Ehren Schaiberger, Stu Maloff, and Victor Pitts.

The Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery in Fort Lauderdale hosted their first event, which was a success according to Eddie. Attendees learned about emerging opportunities and shared their success stories, creating an environment of collaboration within the South Florida domain ecosystem.
