Title: DNForum.com: The Oldest Domain Name Forum Acquired by Epik
Post by: Domaining News on Feb 13, 2023, 02:10 AM
Epik, the domain registrar and multi-discipline tech company founded by Rob Monster, bought the oldest domain name forum DNForum.com or DNF from a group of investors. The aim of the purchase was to utilize the user base of Epik customers for promoting its products, services, and marketing.

Epik has recently come under scrutiny for not fulfilling its financial obligations towards investors and users of its escrow services. Although the amount of money spent on buying DNForum.com is not known, some sources suggest that it wasn't remarkable.

The domain settings of DNForum.com at Epik were changed in February, with the domain being unlocked, which raised questions about an ongoing sale. However, as of now, the domain's status is "OK", and no transfer is pending.

It remains to be seen how Epik will navigate the financial issues it is facing, but the acquisition of DNForum.com is viewed as a strategic move to expand its user base.
