Google is set to delete old accounts that haven't been used for two years or more, including Gmail messages, Calendar events, Drive and Docs files, Google Photos backups and other Workspace files.

This will take effect from December 2020. YouTube videos are an exception, as Google is not currently planning to delete accounts with them. Some abandoned clips may have historical significance, making it tricky to delete the account. It's worth signing into old accounts that may be affected so you don't lose anything important.
