Post by: Domaining News on Jan 11, 2023, 03:22 AM
Sedo.com is a marketplace for premium domains, which holds millions of domains in its inventory. It also has its own network for distribution known as SedoMLS. Sedo is a major sponsor of DomainGang.

With other marketplaces struggling over disputes concerning the commission charged by them, Sedo has come up with a detailed listing of their service charges:

- A commission of 15% will be charged if you do not use a BIN or Buy Now or Best offer option on your Sedo sales lander or parking page. If the purchaser comes through SedoMLS networks even in this situation, a commission of 20% will be charged.

A brief summary is as follows:

- If the domain is sold through Sedo marketplace directly and using a Sedo sales lander or parking layout and has a BIN, Buy Now, or Best Offer option- the commission will be 10%.
- If using Make Offer, Sedo auction or if it is being sold directly through the Sedo marketplace (without using the Sedo Sales lander or parking the domain with Sedo) then the commission will be 15%.
- If the domain is being sold through the SedoMLS network, then a commission of 20% will be charged in all cases.

Sedo also offers an external domain transfer commission of 3%. This applies when the domain is not listed for sale at Sedo or if the domain is listed with Sedo but no bids are received, negotiations are ongoing and you found a buyer on your own.
