Form.xyz provides a range of 3D printing services. We'll introduce you to Rooms.xyz, a platform that encourages creativity and coding skills.

Rooms.xyz is a browser-based tool for designing 3D spaces, enabling users to express their creativity through drag-and-drop functionality and coding. Inspired by the difficulty of existing 3D model creation, co-founder Jason Toff envisioned a tool that bridged the gap between simple and advanced world-building platforms. The project raised $10 million in seed funding and was designed as a "digital equivalent of LEGO."

Rooms.xyz takes a unique approach to 3D design, allowing users to search, edit, and add fully formed objects to their spaces, including doors, furniture, decor, and pets. The interface provides extensive customization options, and users can interact with objects or reveal the underlying code in the Lua coding language.

Rooms.xyz offers educational opportunities for younger users to gain coding knowledge while fostering creativity. The platform showcases a section called "Example Rooms," where visitors can explore a wide array of inspiring room designs crafted by talented users. Users have the freedom to copy an existing room and personalize it to suit their own vision, fostering a spirit of collaboration and innovation.

Superbrunoworld, Neonroom, Zoltair, and .XYZ's Welcome are just a few examples of creative 3D spaces that users can explore on Rooms.xyz. The platform draws inspiration from the iconic Super Mario Brothers series, neon lights, Zoltar fortune-telling machines, and more. With drag-and-drop functionality and coding options, users can create their own personalized 3D spaces.

Rooms.xyz plans to explore monetization opportunities in the future, including selling objects, subscriptions, and licensing the software for educational purposes. The team also envisions compatibility with AR/VR platforms as technology evolves.

Co-founder Jason Toff drew inspiration from his work at Google's AR/VR division, where he contributed to projects like Poly and Blocks. He explained that choosing the .xyz domain was based on its simplicity and alignment with the product's 3D space and coordinates.

Rooms.xyz is currently in beta, providing users with a free and accessible avenue for exploring their creativity in the world of 3D design. Visitors can check out many other incredible members of the XYZ community and conduct their own research before using any products or services featured on the site.
