I have been a member of DAN and Afternic for over 5 years each, and I've had great customer experiences with them 99% of the time.
Recently, I started using the @DAN.COM-enabled integration with Afternic, which seems like a natural and beneficial connection now that both platforms are under the @GoDaddy brand.
I recently sold a domain through DAN's enabled Afternic network listing. The payment was secure, and the DAN bot requested authorization codes.
However, it has been two weeks, and the transfer still hasn't happened. Initially, they claimed that the authorization codes failed, so I had to contact GoDaddy to generate a new set.
I submitted the new codes, but the transfer is still pending. The DAN team keeps assuring me that I will receive a notification from Afternic within 24 hours to start or approve the transfer.
I asked if I could push the domain to DAN and provide Afternic with the authorization codes, but they declined. When I called Afternic support directly, they informed me that it was a partnership issue with a European registry DAN works with, and they said things should be resolved within 24 hours. However, it has been days since then.
Another frustrating aspect is that I can't see the transaction in my Afternic account since I enabled it through my DAN account. Additionally, DAN's customer support has not been very helpful, as they keep sending generic responses to all my questions, stating that they have sent a notification to Afternic for an update and will proceed once they receive a reply.
They also refuse to put me in contact with the Afternic team they are working with.
This has been my worst customer experience with them thus far, and I am now reconsidering enabling the Afternic MLS directly through DAN.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
It seems like there may be a miscommunication or delay between DAN and Afternic regarding the transfer of your domain. It's unfortunate that the customer support from both sides has not been very helpful in resolving the issue promptly.
I would recommend reaching out directly to GoDaddy's customer support to explain the situation and see if they can provide any assistance or escalate the issue. They may have more resources and direct communication channels with the relevant teams at DAN and Afternic.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether to continue using the Afternic MLS directly through DAN or explore other options. Evaluating the overall customer experience and considering alternative solutions or platforms may help you make a more informed decision.
DAN (Domain Automation Network) and Afternic both provide customer support to users who utilize their platforms for buying, selling, and transferring domain names. While I don't have access to real-time information or specific details about their current support processes, I can provide some general information based on their typical practices.
DAN Support:
DAN offers customer support to assist users with questions, issues, and inquiries related to their platform and services. They can help with account management, domain listings, transactions, and payment-related matters. You can usually reach out to DAN's support team through email, live chat, or by submitting a support ticket on their website. They aim to provide timely responses and resolve any concerns you may have.
Afternic Support:
Afternic, as a domain marketplace and platform for buying and selling domains, also provides customer support. Their support team is available to help with various aspects of the domain sales process, including listing domains, negotiating prices, transaction management, and transfer-related inquiries. Afternic's support can be reached through phone or email, and they typically strive to provide prompt assistance.
It's worth noting that these support processes and response times may vary. Some users may have positive experiences and receive prompt resolutions, while others may encounter delays or frustrations. If you are experiencing difficulties or are unsatisfied with the support you have received, it's important to communicate your concerns and escalate the issue if needed.
best way to get accurate and up-to-date information about DAN and Afternic's support procedures is to reach out to their respective support teams directly. They can provide you with the most relevant and current information regarding their support processes and timelines.
I recommend reaching out to both DAN and Afternic support teams and providing detailed logs and screenshots to help them troubleshoot the issue. Additionally, you may want to consider escalating the issue to a higher-level support team or even GoDaddy's customer support, as they may be able to provide a more comprehensive solution.
