Title: Mysterious Domain Issue: Bodis Stats Jump, Ads Fail
Post by: juliaroberts on Aug 28, 2024, 01:01 AM
So I look at my bodis stats like normal a day ago and saw a huge jump on metasiliconvalley.com. So I go and check the ads to make sure the banners are fine... surprise, surprise, I click and nothing works... loading error and everything. So I write to bodis... check the picture for their reply... and mine too.

I just found this by accident, as you can see... otherwise I'd have no clue. It's a domain that's been expired for a month already, probably lost potential buyers because of it and it's still not working... anyone else know about this issue? Any solution?

It seems like the domain metasiliconvalley.com has been expired for a month, which is quite a long time. This could be a result of the domain owner not renewing the registration or simply letting it lapse.

Now, when you try to access the domain, you're getting a loading error. This could be due to a few reasons:

Domain not pointing to the correct IP: When a domain expires, it's possible that the DNS (Domain Name System) records are no longer pointing to the correct IP address. This could cause the website to fail to load.
Server issues: It's possible that the server hosting the website is experiencing issues, which could be causing the loading error.
Content not accessible: If the domain is expired, it's possible that the content is no longer accessible, which could be causing the loading error.
As for your Bodis stats, it's possible that the domain is still registered in the Bodis system, which could be causing the discrepancy.

Now, as for the solution, here are a few things you could try:

Check the domain registration: Try to check the domain registration status using a WHOIS lookup tool. This will give you an idea of whether the domain is still registered or not.
Contact the domain owner: If the domain is still registered, you could try contacting the domain owner to see if they're aware of the issue and if they have any plans to renew the registration.
Try pinging the domain: Try pinging the domain to see if it's still resolving to an IP address. This could give you an idea of whether the domain is still pointing to the correct IP or not.
Check the server logs: If you have access to the server logs, you could try checking them to see if there are any errors or issues that could be causing the loading error.
As for whether anyone else knows about this issue, it's possible that other domain owners or webmasters have experienced similar issues in the past. It's always a good idea to check online forums or communities related to web development or domain registration to see if anyone else has reported similar issues.
