Title: Afternic
Post by: amansharma1 on Nov 07, 2022, 08:20 AM
Let's compile a list of frequently asked questions about Afternic to help aspiring domainers. I'll start, and you can add to it.

1. Are .fr domains accepted on Afternic?
Yes, there are over 150 different domain zones available on our site.

2. How can I sell my domain name?
You need to create an account and add the domain(s). The domain ownership verification process is usually automatic, but can take several days if there are issues with the account data and the domain owner's data. We don't work with аdult, vice, or trademark categories. If your domain falls into one of these categories, like disneyw0rld.com, it cannot be listed for sale, only parked.

3. Can I add a large portfolio of domains quickly?
Yes, if you have more than 50 domains, you can download a file template, add the domains, and upload the file. You can also use the file to subsequently add new domains. Be careful when uploading, as selecting "reconcile with my existing portfolio" will erase any previously uploaded domains. If you have more than 1,000 domains, it may take some time to check and upload them all, so consider contacting support for assistance. For those with several thousand domains, using our API is recommended.

4. What is Promotion Level?
Once a domain is listed for sale, it is automatically set to Network status, meaning it is being sold on various partner sites. Premium status is available for certain domains, which allows for automatic sale and transfer to the buyer's registrar in real-time. This requires a fixed price and placement with an accredited premium partner.

5. Does Afternic have a parking platform?
Yes, we have our own parking platform that works with Google and other feeds. While parking isn't required to list a domain for sale, placing a "this domain is for sale" banner on the parked page with our phone number can double the turnover of an average portfolio by connecting with qualified brokers.

Improving the website's search functionality could enhance sales. Currently, domain names can be difficult to locate unless searched for by their exact name. Categories and descriptions are not useful in finding domains, resulting in an incomplete and cumbersome search experience. The gadget next to the search query field, in the form of a zone name, does not function properly. There is certainly room for improvement.

Additionally, translating the site into popular languages would be invaluable.

Regarding domain parking, seven out of eleven domains are not parking. The domains registered on weekends and Mondays are not appearing, while those parked are showing between 21-23. Please advise.

Just as we visit the store to buy milk, we need to visit a "supermarket" to purchase a name for our website. Each vendor has their own rules, which can include bargaining or only buying at a set price.

When it comes to buying or selling a domain, Afternic.com offers two options:

1. Domain Name Auction: This online auction is similar to a traditional auction, where sellers set their own price and time frame for bidding. Buyers make offers, and the highest bidder wins. Some auctions may also have a set price, allowing buyers to immediately acquire the domain by paying a high fee.

2. Domain Name Exchange: This method has advanced features, including an auction-style sale, but also allows for regular ads that don't involve bidding. Exchanges often provide transaction security to ensure a safe purchase.
