Title: Free hosting?
Post by: aliciasierra on Mar 17, 2023, 03:06 AM
Could someone advise me on what to do with beget? We are unable to receive SMS messages for registration confirmation. The other options I came across, like hostinger, seem sketchy as they require passport information and paid SMS to a specific number.

In general, can anyone suggest a simple and free platform for a beginner webmaster?

I would recommend finding a place where you can try out the platform without making any payments initially. This is crucial in order to familiarize yourself with the platform, learn about its advantages and disadvantages. For instance, at Eurobyte, you have the opportunity to use their hosting services for free for a month, across all available plans.

Personally, I am currently using Eurobyte as they offer SSD storage on all plans and provide the option to transfer websites free of charge, which suits my needs. Wishing you the best of luck!

There are positive reviews about http://wix.com, but the concept of everything being "free" raises some concerns. It's important to be cautious as it could potentially be a deceptive strategy in the long run.

However, if you have your own domain, the risks may be somewhat reduced.

If you're looking for a simple and free platform for web hosting as a beginner webmaster, there are a few options you can explore. Here are three popular choices:

1. WordPress.com: This platform offers a beginner-friendly interface for creating and managing websites. It provides free hosting and a variety of customizable templates to choose from.

2. Wix: Wix is another user-friendly website builder that offers a range of templates and drag-and-drop tools. While free plans include limited features, they're great for getting started.

3. GitHub Pages: If you have some coding knowledge, GitHub Pages allows you to host static websites directly from your GitHub repositories. It's free and a good option if you prefer a more hands-on approach.

These platforms should help you get started without the need for paid SMS or passport information. Remember to assess your specific needs and choose the one that best suits you.
