OneWeb, a low Earth orbit satellite communications business, had planned to deploy 588 satellites to provide worldwide coverage, with additional satellites as backups and for resilience. With this latest launch, the total number of satellites in the system now stands at 618, surpassing the milestone for global Internet coverage.

The satellites were released from the launcher over a span of one hour and fourteen minutes in nine stages, and signal reception was confirmed for all 36 satellites.
