WordSphere's specialty is WordPress customization, modification, theming, custom plugins, buddy press customization, and ecommerce/WooCommerce, and they also provide services for other CMSs like Drupal, Shopify, and BigCommerce. The acquisition will empower WordSphere to broaden its product offerings and provide better client satisfaction.

The clients listed with DrupalWare include large firms, including Pfizer, Tesla Motors, the City of New York, NY MTA, Columbia University, and many others. Drupal is based on a PHP framework and has a modular architecture that enables users to add and remove features as required through modules. Drupal and WordPress can be integrated in various ways based on the specific use case and desired level of integration.

I'm struggling to understand the marketing specifics and how WordPress made $6.8 million.

WordPress is a free platform with no advertising, which makes me wonder if Google and other major companies donate when they use it, or if plugin developers pay some kind of incentive. I'm genuinely interested in learning more about this, so could someone please explain it to me?
