Title: Best Free Hosting Panels
Post by: FadyAdobdalleve on May 18, 2023, 06:43 AM
Hello there, I am looking for a hosting control panel that is both free and offers support for FreeBSD, Debian and Ubuntu. Additionally, it should be multilingual and offer normal work with clients, not just exclusive server management. Simplicity for the end user is also an important factor. Do you have any suggestions for me?

It's worth noting that the panel should also be actually free of charge or at the very least have a minimum price.

If you don't require FreeBSD, you can go for CentosWebPanel or VestaCP. However, my preference would be ISPman, which is relatively affordable, especially if you're considering it for multiple users.

Choosing the right control panel for your web hosting needs can be a daunting task. It's important to consider factors like cost, functionality, and compatibility before making a decision. While CentosWebPanel and VestaCP are good options, ISPman may be a better fit for those who are planning to manage multiple users.

Ispconfig3 has great functionality, but the installation process is difficult. On the other hand, Vestacp is very easy to install.

In terms of web hosting control panels, it seems that while Ispconfig3 may have more advanced features, Vestacp may be a more user-friendly option for those who value ease of installation and use. However, it's important to weigh these factors against one's specific needs and priorities when choosing a control panel.

Free hosting control panels remain popular despite the availability of paid options such as ISPmanager, cPanel, and Plesk. While free panels may have less functionality, they are often preferred by beginners or those with specific requirements.

Now let's take a look at the technical capabilities of some of the most common free panels.

First we have Vesta, a free hosting control panel for a VPS with the option of paid support. Vesta's built-in Softaculous application installer allows for easy deployment of over 400 applications, including popular CMS options. It is based on BASH, which is a native command shell for administering Linux servers, and comes with an iPTables or fail2ban firewall.

Vesta features include a pre-installed LNAMP stack module for faster processing of static and dynamic content in the cache, multilingual support for 26 languages, full control over virtual servers including statistics and logs, support for CLI interface, and mail server solutions like SpamAssasin, ClamAV, Dovecot, and Exim + RoundCube. It also offers a web file manager and FTP manager, auto-installation of the free SSL certificate Lets Encrypt, and support for NGINX, Apache, PHP-FPM.

Next is Hestia, which is based on Vesta and offered under the GPL v3 license. Hestia includes all the functionality of its predecessor, with some added options. It is actively supported by both creators and users, and basic dоcumentation is available and continually updated by the community.

Hestia supports Ubuntu 18.04/20.04 and Debian 9/10, and features include working with Apache or Nginx (PHP-FPM), PHP support, a protection system against external attacks using iptables, fail2ban, and ipset, a DNS server with Bind, automatic installation of CMS platforms like WordPress, OpenCart, Prestashop, Laravel Symfony, a full-fledged file manager, support for MariaDB and Postgres'L database, and Let's Encrypt SSL certificates. It also offers virus and spam protection for mail services using ClamAV, SpamAssassin, Roundcube, and Rainloop.

Finally, there's YunoHost, a modified Debian distribution that includes various tools for working with a hosted web project. The lightweight system is noted for its security and reliability, and is managed through a user-friendly web interface.

To install YunoHost, users can place the platform on an installed Debian instance or download a ready-made distribution in the form of an ISO image. Supported OS is Debian 10.

One recommended option to consider is ISPConfig, an open-source control panel that aligns with your requirements.

ISPConfig supports various operating systems including FreeBSD, Debian, and Ubuntu, making it a versatile choice for different server setups. Its multilingual capabilities ensure that users can navigate the interface in their preferred language, which is essential for reaching a diverse client base.

In terms of client management, ISPConfig offers a user-friendly interface that allows for efficient management of websites, domains, email accounts, and more. This is crucial for providing a seamless experience for end users, ensuring that they can easily access and manage their hosting resources.

Furthermore, ISPConfig is indeed free of charge, making it an attractive option for those seeking a cost-effective solution without sacrificing functionality. This aligns with your requirement for an actually free or minimally priced control panel.
Considering ISPConfig for your hosting control panel needs could provide you with the flexibility, multilingual support, and user-friendly client management that you are looking for, all at no additional cost.
