Above.com - over management or self webservice?

Hello Monetizers! I have been using above.com for several decades. I have tried self-serve and above-controlled options, but I prefer self-serve as it gives me more control over every aspect, despite not having access to the bodis account anymore (which only above-controlled can fix).

I have noticed that revenue grows faster without above-controlled, with less burned traffic going to non-ad block ready 2-click landers, and more going to Maxi if it's self-served (if you know how to tweak some things). However, this is just my experience. What has yours been like? Do you have any comments on how your revenues compare between the two options? Also, how does revenue differ between US Geo and country codes?

Lastly, have you noticed a difference in how long it takes to generate revenue between above-controlled and self-serve? This is an important topic for me as there seems to be only one good network left, along with Trellian.com (Affinity/Siteplug is not suitable anymore). Let's discuss.

Since I started using Above, my results have been fantastic. I prefer the self-managed option over the managed one, and I currently use it along with PC and Bodis. I'm pleased that I decided to try them out as my parking revenue has doubled.

I am fond of Above.com because it helps me keep track of the domain names we purchase and allows us to calculate the return on investment if we decide to sell them. We have already sold some domains that we no longer needed for well-known clients with whom we no longer do business, which brings back money that we otherwise would not have seen if we had launched and gone live with those domains.

but, I cannot directly manage our domain names through the website; I can only track the return on investment. While this is beneficial, it lacks convenience as I must log in to our host to handle domain management. It is critical to keep track of all the domains we buy as they correspond to various projects for different clients.

The choice between self-serve and above-controlled options really depends on your specific needs and preferences. While self-serve gives you more control, above-controlled options may provide additional support and assistance. It's important to consider factors such as revenue growth, traffic allocation, and account management when making your decision.

Regarding revenue comparisons between the two options, it can vary depending on various factors like the quality of your traffic, the types of ads you serve, and your optimization techniques. The revenue generated can be different for different geographies, with the US generally having higher ad rates compared to other countries. Country code-specific revenue may vary depending on the demand and competition within those markets.

As for the time it takes to generate revenue, it can also differ based on factors such as the ad networks' payment schedules, the effectiveness of your monetization strategies, and the volume and quality of your traffic.

You mentioned that you see quicker revenue growth with self-serve, but is it really worth the hassle? The bodis account access issue is a glaring flaw in their system. It's almost as if they want to keep us in the dark while they profit off our hard work. The revenue disparity between US and other geos is just another example of their neglect.
They should be optimizing for global reach instead of letting us fend for ourselves. The delays in revenue generation from self-serve are frustrating, and it makes you wonder if they even care about their users.
