On this day, my intention is to raise the cost of my domain hqc.org. However, upon checking my account, I have discovered that it is not currently listed. Curiously, I added this domain to my account roughly a month ago. Oddly enough, the domain has now been added by an individual using the handle https://dan.com/zh-cn/domain-seller/the-king?&results=50&order_by=relevance.
Upon further investigation, it appears that this person has also added 54,205 domains belonging to other individuals - even those which were already present in their respective owners' accounts.

It is worth noting that the practice of adding existing domains to one's own account without permission is both unethical and illegal in many cases. It is important for individuals who own domains to take proactive measures to protect their assets and ensure that they are not subject to such fraudulent activities.

Is this a case of domain hijacking or just listing hijacking? That is the question at hand.

Regarding the fake listings on Afternic, have they been corrected yet? It may be wise to check again for any new issues that may arise.

You are absolutely correct in saying that you should not have to constantly monitor your accounts for these types of problems. Additionally, there should never be a concern about someone else taking over your current listing without your explicit permission or a sale.

It's unfortunate that you're going through this experience. Hopefully, it's just a technical glitch or an oversight. Otherwise, this could become a worrying trend for all domain owners to watch out for when selling on marketplaces.

I suggest reaching out to the person behind the handle, but also consider reporting this to your registrar and relevant authorities. Keep your domain locked, and consider using two-factor authentication for added security.
