Nexysbytes: what a change a few months can bring

I dislike recommending service providers, whether it's here or anywhere else. I try to avoid doing so because once I make a recommendation, the provider often declines in quality. For instance, Nexusbytes started to plummet just a month after I wrote positive reviews about them. I've seen nothing like what's been happening over the past few days.

In September, I wrote a good review for them after six months of business with zero issues. However, things changed come October. Random downtime with no notification or response from Nexusbytes began occurring. In addition, there was a five-hour outage, and the helpdesk's response was unsatisfactory. I eventually withdrew my services due to the lack of professionalism and poor response times.

Fast forward to the present, and my backup server has been frequently down for the past few weeks leading up to 10 hours of downtime recently. The response from the support desk has been the same old song, but the status page has no acknowledgment of the issue. I have no idea why Nexusbytes has deteriorated, but I suggest you move your data elsewhere as soon as possible. There is zero professionalism and zero support. It's a complete travesty. I've removed the last server I had there and will work with my clients to find a new place to store their data over the next few weeks.

I suspect something may have happened to seriesn, the person in charge of Nexusbytes since he has been missing for approximately 3-4 months now. I recall him experiencing health issues (probably COVID), and he hasn't shown up online in any capacity since then. Therefore, the individuals responding to you that they're investigating are most likely just support staff without the authority to take action.

It's a shame because NB went from zero to a hundred with excellent deals and support last year. I hope seriesn is doing okay as he is a good guy.

Туман, туман

I recall seeing Nexusbytes receive numerous positive reviews and mentions quite frequently, and they were thriving.

It's regrettable to see them encountering the same fate as MightWeb. I noticed that the mightweb.net domain is no longer loading; a 522 error message from Cloudflare indicates that the server is offline or non-existent.

I'm surprised that there has been no information from Marcus yet.

I am currently in the process of retrieving customer backups from Nexus, and we are working on finding a sustainable solution for their webserver.

Although I rarely use their support, when I do, email can be vexing. It would be beneficial if Hetzner had a support/sales/billing ticket system with recorded timestamps to easily track communication history. Scouring through email clients for past conversations can be cumbersome.

It would be advantageous to have permanent KVM console access or an instance of it available. This is the sole reason why I don't host product sites with them, but their server works fine for backups.

Regarding their approach to politics, I've noticed that when a client cancels, the server shuts down immediately without consideration for any remaining time. Additionally, refunds are not issued promptly. I'm questioning whether my expectations are reasonable given what I paid for and the duration of my subscription.

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with Nexusbytes. It can be frustrating when a service provider's quality declines after initially having a positive experience. It's always important to reassess and find alternative options when you're no longer satisfied with a service. If you need any assistance or recommendations in finding a new place to store your data, feel free to ask.

Nexusbytes is a service provider that offers various hosting solutions, including virtual private servers (VPS), dedicated servers, and shared hosting. They aim to provide affordable and reliable hosting services to their customers. However, it seems that you have had a negative experience with them, specifically citing issues like random downtime, poor response times, and a lack of professionalism.

It's important to note that experiences with service providers can vary, and what may be true for one person might not be the same for another. It's always a good idea to do thorough research, read reviews from multiple sources, and consider the reputation and track record of a service provider before making a decision.

If you have any specific questions or concerns about Nexusbytes or need assistance with finding an alternative hosting provider, feel free to ask.
