I unintentionally deleted my compilation of word lists and all I have left is a list of "500 most popular words" that I found on a forum.

Does anyone have any recommendations for useful lists? I am particularly interested in obtaining premium words that may be beneficial to my vocabulary.

What is the definition of "premium words" and how are they classified as such?

If you're in need of English vocabulary, there are numerous lists available online with various criteria. For instance, on this website: https://github.com/dolph/dictionary, you can find a list of 25 thousand popular words in a file named popular.txt.

There are also several other resources available that may be of interest to you. For example, https://github.com/hermitdave/FrequencyWords/ and https://github.com/first20hours/google-10000-english both offer lists of popular words as determined by their respective teams.

In addition to these resources, there are also more specialized word lists available such as those containing names from Facebook dumps (https://github.com/philipperemy/name-dataset), lists of names, surnames, cities, and words (https://github.com/kristopolous/lists), and even collections of odd and unique names such as those of gods or fish (https://github.com/ProkhorZ/nerdy-naming-schemes).

Finding these lists is relatively simple, especially if you have a clear idea of what you're looking for. Expanding your vocabulary can be an enjoyable pursuit and can even lead to new opportunities in your personal and professional life.

There are several useful tools available for working with keywords and search engine optimization:

One such tool is Just-magic, which is a paid service designed to assist with the semantic core. It allows users to collect key queries, analyze written text for keywords, and assess whether the text is relevant to the given subject matter. The service is linked to the Yandex search engine and costs at least $15 per month.

KWFinder is an easy-to-use tool that evaluates the difficulty of promoting each found key and displays this value right in the list of finds. This service is especially recommended for English speakers and a free 10-day version is available.

Ubersuggest is a free program that collects essential indicators for assessing keyword suitability, displays information about competitor search queries, offers advice on backlinks, and shows the degree of perspective of desired keys.

Another useful tool is Keyword Tool, which generates up to 750+ keywords for each search query and analyzes competitor domains. Unlike some services, it also collects phrases from Bing, eBay, AppStore, Amazon, and YouTube.

Rush-analytics is primarily intended for grouping search queries, but can also collect keywords and search suggestions from Yandex. However, this is a paid service starting from $15 per month.

Keyso.so is another tool for analyzing search queries that has a complementary free version. It offers features such as query databases, site comparison, and analyzing competitors by phrases. The paid tariff starts from 1,500 thousand per month.

Google Trends is useful for analyzing the popularity of a search query by city or region, making it convenient for businesses specializing in one city or comparing their company to a competitor. This service also allows users to compare the popularity of multiple search queries.

One valuable resource for acquiring premium words is to explore thematic word lists. For example, you might consider obtaining lists related to specific industries or academic disciplines, such as law, medicine, technology, or finance. These lists can provide you with terminology that is not only rare but also directly relevant to certain subject matters, elevating the precision and nuance of your writing.

Another avenue to explore is the realm of literary and archaic words. Delving into old literature or specialized dictionaries can unearth delightful gems that have fallen out of common usage but possess a unique charm and elegance. Incorporating such words into your writing can infuse it with a sense of historical depth and richness.

Moreover, don't overlook the power of foreign words. Incorporating carefully chosen foreign terms can add an exotic flair and cultural resonance to your writing. Whether it's the lyrical beauty of French or the precision of German compound words, venturing beyond the confines of English can greatly enrich your expressive palette.

In addition to static word lists, consider engaging with dynamic resources such as online vocabulary-building platforms or lexical games. These tools not only introduce you to new words but also provide context and usage examples, facilitating a deeper understanding and retention of the vocabulary.
I would recommend actively reading quality literature across various genres and authors. Exposure to diverse writing styles and linguistic creativity can naturally expand your vocabulary and inspire you with new words and expressions.
