Complete list of control panels

Is there a comprehensive list of control panels and associated software available? For instance:

cPanel - Web Server: Apache/MTA: Exim/IMAP: Dovecot/Database: MySQL/MariaDB/FTP: PureFTPd/ProFTPd

DirectAdmin - Web Server: Apache/MTA: Exim/IMAP: Dovecot/Database: MySQL/MariaDB/FTP: PureFTPd

Although I am aware of the existence of other control panels, I find it difficult to come across a concise list containing such detailed information.

Some examples of other control panels that you might be interested in include ISPConfig, which uses Apache as its web server, Postfix as its MTA, Dovecot for IMAP, MySQL for its database, and PureFTPd for FTP. There is also Webuso, which uses Apache/nginx/Litespeed/Lighttpd as its web server, Exim as its MTA, Dovecot for IMAP, and MySQL/MariaDB for its database, while using PureFTPd for FTP.

Do you know where I could find such a list? Alternatively, feel free to share any control panels that you are familiar with and their associated software. Note that I am exclusively focusing on Linux-supported control panels for the purpose of this discussion. In case Windows Control Panel is brought up, keep in mind that it will likely consist of a completely different set of entries.

There is a list available on Wikipedia, but I am unsure if it's applicable to my situation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_hosting_control_panels

As I use a variety of web applications, each with their own specific requirements, I prefer heavy customization. This allows me to tailor the settings for each application as needed. Recently, I switched to an unfamiliar control panel that allows me to do just that. It uses postfix+dovecot+spamassassin and might be useful to you as well.

To further enhance the functionality of the control panel, I have added Ansible support. This enables me to manage my server cluster effectively. However, this level of customization may not be suitable for "normal" hosts, as it does not align with their needs.

Lately, I have become increasingly doubtful of control panels. Despite being a non-expert in server administration and configuration and rarely encountering problems, it seems that the panels are designed for users like myself. However, every time I use them, issues arise, even when using them in their intended manner.

Every control panel I have used - such as ISPmanager, Plesk, cPanel, Ajenti-V, DirectAdmin - has posed problems, despite not attempting to deviate from their standard usage.

In a recent example related to Ajenti-V, after initially setting up and configuring a website, adding a second site posed challenges due to the absence of an option to create a PHP FastCGI filter for processing PHP files in the site content settings menu. Although this option was present when adding the first site, it disappeared when attempting to add the second. This problem ultimately had to be resolved by navigating through Ajenti-V virtual hosts configurations and copying the necessary parameters from the first website's config into the second, which magically made the previously missing options reappear in the menu.

Additionally, there were instances where updates resulted in errors, causing site failure due to rights-related issues between NGINX and PHP. This often required manual configuration file editing even with the help of control panels.

Overall, I'm becoming more skeptical of control panels as a helpful tool for server administration and configuration.

cPanel is a heavyweight in the market, utilizing Apache as its web server, Exim for MTA, Dovecot for IMAP, MySQL or MariaDB for databases, and PureFTPd for FTP. DirectAdmin offers a similar stack but is often praised for its lightweight design and lower resource usage.

ISPConfig is another solid choice, leveraging Apache, Postfix for MTA, Dovecot for IMAP, and supporting both MySQL and PureFTPd for FTP. Webuzo stands out with its flexibility, allowing users to choose between Apache, Nginx, Litespeed, or Lighttpd, while also integrating Exim, Dovecot, and MySQL/MariaDB.
