As a freelance web developer, I enjoy writing and creating websites as a hobby while also earning a substantial but irregular income.

Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with Majordomo hosting when one of the sites I created was hacked and destroyed by someone. Despite the incident happening on Majordomo's watch, their tech support team blamed me and my "loose" scripts for the issue - even though the same scripts were used across my other 300 sites without issue.

I feel uncomfortable facing the owner of the destroyed site and explaining the situation, all because Majordomo's tech support team was lazy and unhelpful. In response, I plan to move all of my sites to a different hosting provider and sever my ties with Majordomo.

This is a frustrating situation, especially after being a loyal customer for nine years. Labels like "stupid ghouls" and "faggots" are inappropriate, but it's understandable to feel frustrated and betrayed in this scenario. As a freelancer, finding a reliable and helpful hosting provider is crucial to the success of my work.

I created a website that focused on the girl's music, art, and other related topics. This site contained articles directed at a specific audience.

Unfortunately, not only did my website get hacked and destroyed but the hosting provider also failed to properly handle the situation. They failed to prevent DDOS attacks and mishandled the logs, making it difficult for me to take legal action against the hackers.

My frustration with the situation is immense. As a sole proprietor who follows all laws and regulations, I'm angered by the incompetence of the hosting provider. While this is only one aspect of my business, I plan to escalate the issue by reporting it to the relevant authorities, such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs or FSB. It's important to hold service providers accountable and ensure they meet the standards expected of them.

The negative experience you faced with Majordomo hosting, resulting in the destruction of one of your sites due to a security breach, is undoubtedly disheartening and frustrating.
The fact that the tech support team at Majordomo placed blame on your scripts without thoroughly investigating the issue is a clear indication of their lack of professionalism and commitment to customer service. It's understandable that you would feel uncomfortable facing the owner of the destroyed site and explaining the situation, especially given the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Moving forward, it is crucial to prioritize finding a new hosting provider that not only offers reliable services but also places a strong emphasis on security and proactive support. Conducting thorough research into potential hosting providers, reviewing their security measures, uptime guarantees, and customer feedback will be paramount in making an informed decision.

When severing ties with Majordomo, it's important to handle the transition of your sites to a new hosting provider with care and precision. Ensuring a smooth migration process for all 300 of your sites will minimize potential disruptions and maintain the integrity of your web development business.

To finding a new hosting provider, it's essential to communicate professionally and transparently with the owner of the destroyed site. Explaining the situation, expressing your commitment to resolving the issue, and outlining the steps you are taking to prevent similar incidents in the future will demonstrate your dedication to your clients and reinforce your reputation as a responsible and reliable web developer.

Your loyalty to Majordomo over nine years is commendable, and the decision to seek a new hosting provider is a significant one. Embracing this change as an opportunity to enhance the security and stability of your websites will ultimately contribute to the long-term success of your freelance web development endeavors.

Blaming you for their security failures is not just lazy; it's a blatant disregard for their responsibilities as a hosting provider. After nine years, they should have been your ally, not your adversary. It's infuriating to see a company treat loyal customers like this.

Your decision to ditch them is spot on; a host that plays the blame game instead of providing solutions doesn't deserve your business. Find a provider that takes security seriously and supports you, because you deserve better than being labeled the problem when their systems fail.
