Title: Creating an аdult Website
Post by: David5 on Jun 20, 2023, 06:23 AM
Hi. A desire to build an аdult website has been around for a while. However, some uncertainties exist.

For instance, if I acquire a domain and hosting, where will I store my videos? Can I keep them on my computer? How does that work?

Look for "bulletproof hosting" or "bulletproof hosting". Another option is to use dedicated servers in countries where it is legal, like the Netherlands.

On a separate note, video distribution can be extremely costly in terms of traffic, even for just a small amount of visitors. My general suggestion would be to avoid attempting your own video hosting unless you have a strong understanding of both technology and costs, unless of course it's purely for educational purposes.

Storing video on your own device is not only impractical, but also comes with various risks. Transmitting FullHD video requires approximately 8-12 Mbit/sec, meaning that just 10 simultaneous viewers can quickly deplete a typical home internet connection.

Hosting costs can be a significant obstacle, especially for beginners. Experienced individuals who have been in the business for years can easily afford them, but for newcomers, it's a whole different story. In order to avoid burning out in the first few months, beginners require a stroke of inhuman luck which is akin to winning the lottery.

Hosting is not suitable for this type of operation; it requires dedicated servers. However, the website can still be hosted, but the video content necessitates a file server for storage. Consequently, all videos will be saved on the file server.

When you acquire a domain and hosting, you need to consider the type of hosting plan that best suits your needs. For a website with video content, a shared hosting plan may not be sufficient due to potential bandwidth and storage limitations. Therefore, you might want to look into VPS (Virtual Private Server) or a dedicated server where you have more control and resources.

When it comes to storing videos, keeping them directly on your computer is not a viable option for a website, especially an аdult one. Instead, you should consider using a Content Delivery Network (CDN) or a specialized video hosting service. A CDN will distribute your video content across multiple servers geographically closer to your visitors, ensuring faster load times and better overall performance. This approach also reduces the load on your main web hosting server.

Alternatively, you can opt for a video hosting platform specifically designed for аdult content. These platforms offer secure storage, high-quality video streaming, and tools for managing and monetizing your video content. Many of them also provide embeddable players that you can easily integrate into your website.
While acquiring a domain and hosting is a crucial step in setting up your аdult website, the storage and delivery of video content require additional considerations. Exploring options such as VPS or dedicated server hosting, utilizing a CDN, or leveraging a specialized video hosting service will ensure that your videos are stored and delivered effectively, providing a seamless experience for your audience.
