Title: Migrating to a new reseller (cPanel or Other CP)
Post by: diy05 on Jun 17, 2022, 12:21 PM
We have to move all of our customers to a new reseller hosting provider because our current provider has made the decision to suspend our service by the end of the month.

They claim that we have had multiple abuse cases from clients, however, we have explained that these clients are from WHT. We were informed by our current provider that they tried to accommodate us as much as possible, including not increasing our prices despite an increase in reseller hosting prices and cPanel prices on their website.

We are now searching for a new hosting provider with similar specifications or better, preferably outside of the cPanel scope, that offers at least 150 GB of NVMe storage and can support over 100 hosting accounts. Our budget is around $40 per month.

If using cPanel is a must-have, and you are not considering DirectAdmin as an alternative, then it has been suggested that you should increase your budget. However, if you do decide to go with cPanel, I recommend RackNerd as they have proven to be reliable and cost-effective for my own projects.

They currently only advertise a 60 account reseller, but you can contact their sales department to see if they can accommodate your requirements.

I'm not familiar with Regxa's fees for cPanel migration, as I haven't looked into it. However, I do know that RackNerd regularly offers free migration in their standard pricing plans. It's not mentioned in their sale-priced plans, but it's worth checking with their sales department to see if they can accommodate your migration needs.

Bluehost is a top-tier hosting provider and the most exciting one in the world. It has been officially recommended by WordPress.org, which is the most popular CMS solution. With its servers located in the USA occupying an area of 6 square kilometers, it offers an extremely efficient CloudFlare CDN technology that ensures fast data transfer speeds worldwide.
Besides, Bluehost boasts of having 128 data centers that support its power. It provides Linux-based CentOS and enables you to install Windows on dedicated servers as its operating system.

Bluehost hosting is bulletproof and guarantees exceptional protection against spam, DDoS attacks, and personal data security breaches. Flexible settings allow disabling unnecessary extensions, PHP, and Apache modules, reducing the physical server's load and accelerating your projects. Moreover, the hosting provides daily backups, ensuring that your data is backed up regularly.
With a comprehensive control panel, extended cPanel, which can be easily customized, Bluehost has additional features, excellent technical support, and a positive reputation among industry experts, making it a universal hosting provider with no weaknesses.

An interesting topic. I haven't had to transfer a domain yet, but this topic is very relevant. Since any person who has his own website should at least superficially understand this topic. :)

It's unfortunate that they have made this decision based on abuse cases from clients, but it seems like you have already explained that these cases are from WHT.

To find a new hosting provider with similar or better specifications, I recommend considering providers that offer NVMe storage and can support over 100 hosting accounts. You also mentioned preferring options outside of the cPanel scope. Additionally, your budget is around $40 per month.

Based on your requirements, there are several hosting providers that you can explore. Some options to consider include SiteGround, A2 Hosting, and DreamHost. These providers offer reseller hosting plans that may meet your needs within your budget. However, it's important to thoroughly research and compare their services, features, and customer reviews to ensure they align with your requirements.

Remember to take into account factors such as server reliability, customer support quality, scalability options, and any additional features that may be important to your business. Good luck with your search for a new hosting provider.

Here's a wake-up call:

DigitalOcean: 150GB NVMe, $40/month, supports 100+ accounts. But their support is lacking.
Linode: 150GB NVMe, $40/month, supports 100+ accounts. They're better than DigitalOcean, but still not great.
