Title: How to choose webhosting provider?
Post by: Nicpoint45 on Jul 20, 2022, 12:29 PM
Hello!
I have created a new website and I'm searching for hosting options to store it. I am content with a budget-friendly package, even if it has a storage capacity of 10 000 MB, as long as it includes access to FTP and MySQL databases. These are my main requirements.
I plan to order both the server and domain at the earliest convenience.

Hello.
I would like to recommend a reliable hosting provider: https://goodhoster.net/en/shared-hosting/
They offer great prices, an online chat service that's available almost 24/7, a 7-day free trial period, and a full refund within 30 days if you are not satisfied with their service. Additionally, transferring your site from another hosting provider is free of charge.
You can also choose the country where your site will be located when placing an order.

Five main types of hosting are available to users on the hosting services market: virtual hosting (Shared); virtual dedicated server (VPS server); dedicated physical server (Dedicated); cloud hosting (Cloud hosting); colocation (placement of the client's equipment in the provider's data center).

Servers are in high demand today for various purposes, with website hosting being one of the most popular applications. A convenient option is the rental of GPU servers, where a pre-configured version is available almost instantly upon payment. Virtual web servers offer other advantages such as instant scaling without having to purchase additional equipment. IT administrators enjoy more freedom in configuring settings and installing appropriate software on the server.

When choosing a hosting provider, it is important to consider pricing solutions that cater to both small and large projects, page loading speed, and the location of the provider's data centers. Additionally, a user-friendly interface and reliable technical support are crucial. Backups are essential for protecting project data and restoring resources in emergencies.

It is worth noting that low tariffs should not be the only reason for choosing a provider. One can rent a server for any duration by depositing a certain amount to the balance. The server is ready to use within a few minutes after ordering and selecting an optimal configuration.

Good afternoon, gentlemen.
In my humble opinion, the most acceptable option now and with the expected prospect for the future is cloud hosting. One of the undeniable advantages is the speed of organization, and increasing the volume if necessary.

Choosing a web hosting provider can sometimes seem like a daunting task. There are thousands and thousands of hosts, and they all claim to provide the best service. However, there are a number of criteria that you can use to evaluate your options. The main factors you should look at include speed, support, cost, security and scalability. The order of importance of these factors will vary from person to person.

Good afternoon! I have a cumbersome project planned, so I will need to place a grid of sites. Can you tell me by what criteria to choose a cloud service provider at all and how is traffic charged in cloud hosting?

Selecting the right hosting provider is a crucial decision for your website. Consider the size of your website, expected traffic, and any special requirements like e-commerce functionality or multimedia content. It is critical to choose a hosting provider that guarantees uptime and has a proven track record of reliability.

Scalability options should be evaluated as additional resources such as storage or bandwidth may be needed as the website grows. Security measures should be robust enough to protect both the website and customer data from cyber threats. Customer support quality should be excellent, preferably available 24/7 through multiple channels such as live chat, email or phone.

It is also important to compare pricing plans and features of different hosting providers to find the one that best fits your needs and budget. Researching online reviews and ratings of the hosting providers being considered, as well as asking friends or colleagues with web hosting experience for recommendations, can also be helpful.

Shared hosting is a cost-effective hosting solution where multiple websites are hosted on a single server, sharing resources like storage, memory, and processing power. This makes it an excellent choice for small to medium-sized websites with modest resource needs, such as the one you've described.

Looking at the specific hosting features you require, let's dive into some recommendations that will meet your criteria:

1. HostGator Hatchling Plan: This plan offers 10 GB of storage, unmetered bandwidth, and a free domain name for $2.75 per month (with a 36-month commitment). It includes FTP access, as well as unlimited MySQL databases, which will allow you to easily manage your website's backend.

2. GoDaddy Economy Plan: GoDaddy's Economy shared hosting plan provides 10 GB of storage, unmetered bandwidth, and a free domain name for $5.99 per month (with a 12-month commitment). It also includes FTP access and the ability to create multiple MySQL databases.

3. BlueHost Basic Plan: BlueHost's Basic shared hosting plan gives you 50 GB of storage, unmetered bandwidth, and a free domain name for $3.95 per month (with a 36-month commitment). This plan supports FTP access and unlimited MySQL databases.

All of these providers are well-established in the web hosting industry and offer reliable, user-friendly platforms. They also provide 24/7 customer support, which can be invaluable when you're setting up your new website.

When selecting a hosting plan, I'd recommend considering factors like:

- Uptime guarantee: Aim for providers that offer at least 99.9% uptime, ensuring your website is consistently accessible.
- Scalability: Look for plans that allow you to easily upgrade your resources as your website grows.
- Security features: Ensure the provider offers features like SSL certificates, DDoS protection, and regular backups to safeguard your website.
- User reviews: Check independent review sites to get a sense of the provider's customer satisfaction and overall service quality.

Once you've chosen a hosting plan, the setup process is generally straightforward. The hosting provider will guide you through connecting your domain, configuring FTP access, and setting up any necessary databases. They'll also provide dоcumentation and support to help you get your website up and running.

You're being far too lenient with your requirements. 10,000 MB of storage is peanuts, and you'll likely outgrow it quickly. Why settle for a budget-friendly plan when you can opt for a more robust solution that offers better performance and scalability? Consider VPS or cloud hosting options, which offer more flexibility and resources.
