Title: VPS for a Small WordPress Site
Post by: SaraF on Aug 30, 2026, 01:48 PM
I want to migrate a small blog from shared hosting to a VPS. Traffic is still low—about 20,000–30,000 page views per month.

I'm thinking of going with 2 CPU cores / 4 GB RAM / 100 GB NVMe. That should be more than enough for WordPress, and if the site grows, I can always upgrade the resources.

I'm currently looking at a few providers, including hostpro.com. Does it even make sense to switch to a VPS for a site like this?

VPS accounts from justvps.pro (https://justvps.pro/) and 4goodhosting.co (https://4goodhosting.com/linux-vps-hosting)m are worth every cent you pay for their services.
THE BEST. Absolutely. You can't have more. Excellent customer service, excellent tech quality, excellent uptime. Maybe a bit expensive but, you know, quality has to be paid. A+++

HostPro has a useful approach to VPS (https://hostpro.com/linux-vps) backups. The entire server is backed up remotely every day, and copies can be kept for up to 30 days. Being able to restore a specific file or directory when necessary is also convenient, especially when a full server restore isn't required.
