I want to migrate a small blog from shared hosting to a VPS. Traffic is still low—about 20,000–30,000 page views per month.

I'm thinking of going with 2 CPU cores / 4 GB RAM / 100 GB NVMe. That should be more than enough for WordPress, and if the site grows, I can always upgrade the resources.


I'm currently looking at a few providers, including hostpro.com. Does it even make sense to switch to a VPS for a site like this?

HostPro has a useful approach to VPS backups. The entire server is backed up remotely every day, and copies can be kept for up to 30 days. Being able to restore a specific file or directory when necessary is also convenient, especially when a full server restore isn't required.
