Title: VPS for a website with a large product catalog
Post by: SaraF on Aug 15, 2026, 09:56 AM
I need to migrate a website with a catalog of approximately 100,000 items. It's a custom-built PHP + MySQL application with many filters and a product search feature. Traffic is moderate for now, but the database is constantly growing.

For the server, I'm looking at 8 CPU cores / 16 GB RAM / 200 GB NVMe, plus daily backups. I'm checking out hostpro.com, but I'm not sure if I need that configuration right from the start.

What would you choose for a project like this, and which resource is most likely to become a bottleneck?

Why not give one of these VPS hosts a try?
1) RightServers.com (https://rightservers.com/)
2) DigitalCloud.pro (https://digitalcloud.pro/)
3) Ovhcloud.com (https://ovhcloud.com/)
Reliability has been consistent from day one.
Reliable, secure, and perfectly suited to e-commerce sites like mine.

Quality and reliable VPS providers for me are: justvps.pro (https://justvps.pro/) and 4goodhosting.com (https://4goodhosting.com/linux-vps-hosting).
They offer excellent customer service, and value for money. It is a relief to be working with them after unsatisfactory experiences with another company.

I was comparing the practical features of HostPro VPS plans (https://hostpro.com/linux-vps) rather than just looking at the price. The ability to choose different resource configurations, use NVMe storage, and have daily remote backups is important for me. Having 24/7 technical support and Tampa, Warsaw, and Amsterdam locations makes the service more flexible as well.

Speed and uptime matter most when you run production sites, which is why I moved my VPS workloads to hostpro.com (https://hostpro.com/). Every night they create full backups of all services, so recovery from data corruption, failed updates or security incidents is straightforward. I have used those backups more than once and they worked exactly as expected. Their support staff works 24/7, knows the platform inside out, and assists with any issue at no cost.
