Hello everyone in the forum!
I recently purchased a theme from Themeforest and I am unsure whether to install it on my main domain or a working domain before migrating it over. Can anyone offer any advice on this matter?
In case anyone is interested, here is the link to the theme: University Education Responsive WordPress Theme (http://preview.themeforest.net/item/university-education-responsive-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/12573918?_ga=2.121230600.1451788779.1663338867-1708101675.1658257031).
Why not give it a try? Even if you need a key activation, there's no harm in testing it on a trial site before moving it to the main one.
It's always a good idea to take precautions before making big changes to your website. A test site allows you to work out any kinks or bugs before going live, ensuring a smoother transition for you and your visitors.
That is, the themes, legally purchased on this site, you can put on an unlimited number of domains, I understand correctly? The developer does not seem to say so.
As if then I would not have to pay again...
The license may not allow it, but there's no one stopping you from installing the theme on your website if it doesn't require an API key for activation. The process becomes difficult if there is a key needed, as it will require unlinking it from other sites if you want to use it on multiple ones.
If there are no restrictions, then feel free to install it as you wish. However, it's important to ensure that you're not violating any licensing agreements or infringing on anyone's intellectual property rights. It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to legal matters.
Yes, it is possible to install a paid WordPress theme on a staging or working domain before migrating it to your main domain.
This allows you to test the theme and its functionalities before making it live on your main domain. By setting up a separate environment, you can make any necessary adjustments, configure plugins, and ensure that everything works as expected.
Once you are confident that the theme is working well, you can then proceed with migrating it to your main domain. This approach helps to minimize the risk of potential issues impacting your live site while allowing you to fully explore and customize the theme on a separate domain.
