Post by: Sedfinder on Sep 12, 2022, 12:16 AM
I am struggling with the task of replicating my website. When analyzing the situation, I found an entry related to Hosting Telesystems network in the analyzer JSC Hosting Telesystems. However, amidst the search results, there is a lot of irrelevant information that is not helping me identify the hosting service accurately.

To avoid any mistakes, I feel it necessary to reach out to their support team for guidance. Identifying the correct hosting service is crucial to ensure that the copying process is successful and seamless.

If you are unable to access the NS server, open WHOIS instead.

To find out the website hosting, type "ping" in the console, followed by a space and the domain name, and hit "Enter". For instance, we used "korablpurga.com".

Once you have the IP address displayed in the console, you can identify the hosting provider. All IP addresses belong to a provider, so this step is crucial. Copy the 10-digit IP address separated by dots and proceed to the next step. For our example, the IP address is "77.222.61.113".

To find out the website hosting, you can use a Whois service, which is a free and user-friendly tool. Simply enter the IP address in the "IP address or domain" field and click "Check". The name of the hosting company will be shown in the "Provider" line.

Above mentioned simple services like "ping", "tracert", services providers like "whois". If this topic is interesting, you can look additionally at 2ip.ru (https://2ip.ru/).
There's a lot of interesting stuff there - you can find out with whom you share the same IP address on the hosting, whether there are any compromised resources "neighbors", etc.
A similar service: 2ip.me (https://2ip.me/en/).
I recommend it.

Hosting Telesystems is a legitimate company that provides various hosting services, including shared hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers. However, it's not uncommon for webmasters to get confused about the actual hosting service they're using, especially if they're not familiar with the technical aspects of web hosting.

When you found the entry related to Hosting Telesystems network in the analyzer JSC Hosting Telesystems, it's likely that this is a reference to the autonomous system number (ASN) assigned to Hosting Telesystems. An ASN is a unique identifier assigned to a network or a group of networks that are under the control of a single entity, in this case, Hosting Telesystems.

To confirm whether Hosting Telesystems is indeed your hosting service provider, I would recommend reaching out to their support team, just like you've planned. You can simply send them an email or open a support ticket, explaining your situation and asking them to confirm whether they're hosting your website.

When you contact their support team, make sure to provide them with as much information as possible about your website, including the domain name, IP address, and any other relevant details. This will help them quickly identify your account and provide you with the necessary information.
You can also try checking your website's DNS records to see if they're pointing to Hosting Telesystems' servers. You can use online tools such as Whois.net or DNSstuff.com to check your website's DNS records. If the records are pointing to Hosting Telesystems' servers, it's likely that they're your hosting service provider.
