Title: Need VPS for tests
Post by: mRsnop1 on Jul 26, 2022, 01:38 PM
Recommend a VDS provider to configure IPv6 functionality. My ISP doesn't support IPV6 and I've tried several services, but none were suitable. My goal is to test it out initially and then potentially continue using it. It should be possible to add new IPv6 addresses independently, along with optional support for IPv4, and the ability to specify which IP address I want to access the Internet from.
Please suggest some VDS providers.

Have you tried Kamatera (https://www.kamatera.com/)?
With a set of applications for these guys, too, it seems, everything is in order.

I can advise zomro.com . The tariffs they provide are not expensive, and the quality seems to be normal. Their service is also not lame, they respond at any time of the day. It seems like there is also a free test for beginners.

During the trial period of web hosting, certain aspects need to be checked in order to determine if the selected tariff plan is suitable. These include the website's loading speed, its availability and the continuous stable operation of the web project, as well as the level of technical support and the price of the tariff plan.

Most hosting providers offer a test period for their users, which typically lasts seven days and has the standard features and functions. However, some providers have different conditions for providing a trial period, such as a shorter duration or limited functionality. It is important to thoroughly evaluate the hosting service during the trial period, particularly in regards to technical support, which should be readily available, responsive and of high quality.
The best hosting providers offer round-the-clock technical support for all their customers, regardless of the chosen tariff plan.

There are several VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) providers that can cater to your requirements. Here are some providers that you might wanna consider, along with some key features:

1. DigitalOcean - They offer droplets that can be configured with IPv6. You have the ability to add additional IPv6 addresses easily. However, they are more known for IPv4 and their IPv6 support might not be as extensive for advanced use cases.

2. Vultr - This provider has a straightforward setup process, and you can enable IPv6 when you create your instance. They're also flexible in their plans, allowing you to choose your IP configuration and even allowing users to deploy their own OS, which can help when you're looking to play around with your setup.

3. Linode - Known for its strong dоcumentation and community support, Linode also provides IPv6 support. You can allocate new IPv6 addresses to your instance whenever you need. Their interface is user-friendly and provides clear options for network configuration.

4. Hetzner - This German hosting provider has a very good reputation and offers both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. You can add additional IPv6 addresses freely, and their pricing is very competitive for the resources they offer.

5. OVH - If you're looking for a European provider, OVH is well-regarded for its range of services, including VDS with IPv6 support. They let you choose your public IP, and add additional IPv6 addresses if you deside to scale up.

6. AWS (Amazon Web Services) - While AWS might seem a bit complicated at first, it offers extensive IPv6 support through their EC2 instances. You can manage IP addresses dynamically, allowing you to specify which IP you want to use for Internet access.

7. Google Cloud Platform - Similar to AWS, GCP provides comprehensive IPv6 functionality. You can add IPv6 addresses as needed and tailor your instance configuration according to your traffic needs.

Some might offer a trial period or credits for new users, so you can experiment without a significant financial investment initially.
